Subject: Re: 1956 3.0 litre 4-door Lagonda at H&H I have been lucky enough to enjoy having a 3 litre DHC in the family for many years. I have often thought the fixed head saloons were a little ungainly in comparison. However, as time goes by, these cars grow on me more and more. This is a fine looking motor and should find a good home. |

Subject: Re: 1956 3.0 litre 4-door Lagonda at H&H Car was unsold, clearly not in the condition buyers were looking for. A good condition 2 car would easily make this, however, I suspect that it was pretty average, with paint blistering and lots of other minor issues needing to be sorted. |

Subject: Re: 1956 3.0 litre 4-door Lagonda at H&H Just a quick glance at the results suggests many cars were withdrawn or didn't sell. Maybe the lack of sales speaks more of the event that individual cars? Also unsold was a beautiful Alvis Grey Lady saloon. I believe this car was once in the family. Just checking on some details as the reg has changed. Tony |

Subject: Re: 1956 3.0 litre 4-door Lagonda at H&H I would suggest that it a mixture of the tough financial conditions and over-optimistic vendors. For example the LG6 had been in the same auction two months ago. imho, this 4-door was simply over-priced, which can kill a car unless it is exceptionally good. |
