Subject: Re: 1952 Brooklands Lagonda 2.6/3.0 litre dhc
Peter hi

Brooklands of Bond Street bodied the last 16 2.6 mk 2 chassis with the new style body, which Tickford would then continue with; some as a 2-door coupe and some of course as a dhc.

These 16 cars all started with a 2.6 litre engine, many had the engine changed in late 1953 or in 1954 to the 3.0 litre.

The dash-board is correct in terms of style, but looks like it has lost all of its burr walnut veneer.

The car sold for 52,000 UK pounds in normal currenncy, about right, givne its condition. You won't find a road-worthy dhc for much cheaper anymore, despite all of its faults.

There is another car for sale in the UK, with same specification for sale at the moment.
