Subject: Front telescopic shock absorbers
My V12 has heavy duty Koni telescopic shock absorbers on the front suspension, one on each side. one is now weeping and so I want to replace them but the part number is obsolete and of course they are not an original fit. The part number is 82-1042 and they are dated August 1971. I cannot find a replacement part number.
My other V12 has Armstrong Super Blue with various numbers on them - 010672, 2562, 9FA 50/312. they are identical size and fitting to the Konis. Armstrong has no replacement part number for these.
does anyone know which new replacement shock absorber I should buy? the "specialists" seem unable to do anything without a current part number.
